Dingley Dell, Rochester: 18% at a house with a heated pool
The same physics at domestic scale: a private house and its separate heated swimming pool, each served by a 30kW gas boiler.
What we did
At the end of September 2024, 50cm of the V1 system was fitted to the 30kW gas boiler serving the house, and another 50cm to the pipework of the 30kW boiler serving the separate swimming pool.
The result
Comparing the full billing year before installation (28 September 2023 to 27 September 2024) against the full year after, gas use fell from 116,857 kWh to 106,482 kWh, and to 96,898 kWh once adjusted for the colder second year using degree days. That is an 18% total saving, with the gas bill down from £8,179.98 to £6,782.88.
We lead this site with commercial buildings, because that is where round-the-clock heating makes the effect largest. Dingley Dell is here for a different reason: it shows the measurement standard travels. Same method, same honesty, any building.
How this was measured: complete billing cycles compared before and after installation, using data from the energy supplier and the property's smart meter, adjusted for ambient weather using degree days data (2,313.3 against 2,519).
The V1 system is the OH4 Energy Saving System, so client quotes and the full case-study documents refer to it as OH4.
