Sustainability

Sustainability is the work, not a postscript

Sustainability sits at the heart of everything we do, because it is not something we bolt onto the job. It is the job. Every project we take on exists to cut the energy a building wastes, so carbon reduction is the direct output of the work rather than something offset afterwards.

That means we can put a number on it. Every case study on this site reports a carbon reduction alongside the energy saving, because the two are the same measurement expressed differently: 94 tonnes of CO2 a year at The Headland Hotel, 26.7 tonnes at St Michael's Resort, 11.1 tonnes at The Georgian House Hotel. All of it measured from the client's own meters, not modelled.

Because the figures are measured rather than estimated, clients can use them in their own reporting. Ablecare Homes evidence their savings in their annual accounts and in their environmental and social statements directly from this data.

There is a second, quieter benefit. The system wraps around pipework you already have, so nothing is ripped out and replaced. No new boilers, no new chillers, no embodied carbon in the manufacture and disposal of plant that still had years left in it.

Our promise

Where our numbers come from

Every figure on this site comes from real customer sites: measured consumption before and after installation, weather-adjusted where the data allows. Real customers. Real meter readings. No marketing maths.

We offer trials so you can see the proof first hand, on your own meters, before committing to a portfolio-wide rollout. Ablecare Homes did exactly that: one care home first, a full year of meter readings, and only once those showed a 27% saving did they fit the remaining five.

How we verify: a consumption baseline is agreed before installation, then compared with post-install meter readings on a like-for-like basis. Clients follow the numbers live in the V1 Savings App, so the result is never just our word for it.

Simple by design

How it works

1

Survey

A free site survey. A few photos of your plant room and pipework are usually enough to scope and quote.

2

Install

The V1 system wraps around your closed-loop pipework. No cutting, no draining, no power supply, no downtime.

3

Measure

Baseline versus after, from your own meters, weather-adjusted where appropriate. Followed live in the V1 Savings App.

4

Verify

A clear savings report. The data, not the brochure, decides whether you roll out further.

Sectors

Where the savings are biggest

Care homes

24/7 heating loads

Round-the-clock occupancy makes care homes ideal candidates. Our 27% verified result at Belvedere Lodge led to a rollout across all six of Ablecare's care homes.

Hotels & hospitality

Heating and hot water at scale

Big heating and hot water demand, energy-hungry comfort standards. A client savings report from One Hotel Mayfair, London, documents the measured result.

Estates and portfolios

One verified building makes the case for the rest of the estate. Wearebauer Group measured a 16% reduction before deciding what to do next.

Regulation

The regulatory clock is ticking

Under the MEES plans confirmed by the government in June 2026, larger commercial buildings in England and Wales are expected to need an EPC rating of B from 2031. Verified efficiency measures do double duty: lower bills now, a stronger EPC position later.
